Innocence

When reading/ viewing the entries selected for this weeks blog, I was torn between The Ruins of Detroit and by Where the Children Sleep.  Ultimately, I chose Where the Children Sleep because it affected me in a unexpected sort of way.  I think it’s pretty profound that through images an artist can capture the true spirit of their subject, and thus be able to (emotionally) move their audience.

Without looking at the photo on the left of where these children sleep, look at the expression in their eyes.  You don’t even have to look at their living conditions to know what they’ve been through.  Truly incredible.
